Altet, Xavier Barral. The Early Middle Ages. Edited by
Henri Stierlin, Taschen's World Architecture. Köln: Taschen, 1997.
This book is an excellent way to gain a better understanding
of the architecture and decoration to be encountered in many of the churches
along the camino. Several of those depicted in the book are located along the
camino: Poitiers, Pola de Lena, Valdediós, Pravia, Lugo and Santiago de
Compostela.
